Constrained Modeling of Induction Motor Using Physical Modeling and FEM

This thesis deals with the design of a complex model of induction machine whereby an analysis of such machine can be performed. The whole model consists of several sub-models such as electromagnetic, electric and thermal. The electromagnetic sub-model is solved via finite element analysis provided by a program called FEMM. Further computations have been executed via Matlab. The thermal sub-model is designed for a steady-state of the machine at the desired operating point. The electric model represents an electric circuit which models the relations of electric quantities. The final combined model has been programmed in Matlab as a tool for analyzing the induction machine.
